Last weekend’s match was a real nail biter. Tattenhoe won the toss and chose to kick downhill with the wind behind them in the first half.
In the first minute the visitors scored from their first attack, the ball finding the top left hand corner. No chance for the Olney keeper.
For much of the first half the Rockets found it difficult to get out of their half and almost inevitably Tattenhoe scored again. At this stage things were looking pretty bad for the home side, but with only a few minutes left before half-time Connor grabbed a goal back. Half-time score 1-2
The second half was a different story seeing most of the pressure being built upon the Tattenhoe goal. It wasn’t long before the Rockets got a well deserved equaliser. Both teams then scored again leaving the match on a knife edge. With less than a minute to go Rockets won a corner on the left. Matt bent the ball in, the ball floated in at the near post, was it assisted by someone or just the wind? Who knows, it was in the net. Tattenhoe barely had time to kick-off when the ref blew for full-time. Another great result….

Another great team performance and that includes from our non playing substitutes that day, Tom Lamb and Shane Stilgoe who, even though they were itching to play, accepted the coach's decision to play the team he thought most likely win us the match, and cheered the team on from the touchline. Richard was proved right with the last gasp winner and Tom and Shane were a credit to the team - well done all of you.
